All skill levels are invited to participate in a fun and competitive atmosphere, with prizes awarded to top teams and refreshments available throughout the day.
The full-day tournament will have a mixed-doubles competition in the morning and a same-gender doubles competition in the afternoon.
“Pickleball is fun because it brings everyone together — fast rallies, easy learning and nonstop laughter,” said Jonathan Warner, a graduate assistant working at the Marshall Rec Center. “It’s the perfect blend of competition and community, which is why it’s become one of the fastest growing sports in the country.”
Cost is $30 per team, with proceeds supporting the Rec Center’s Scholarship and Development Fund. The fund provides scholarships, leadership opportunities and career development to help staff members grow into future leaders.
Registration is open to all and closes at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14. Visit https://pickleballtournaments.com/tournaments/thundering-pickle-classic to sign up.
