Marshall Direct

A New Pathway to College Access
Expanding College Access, One District at a Time

Marshall Direct is a growing initiative from Marshall University designed to remove barriers to higher education and expand access to college for students across West Virginia. In partnership with local school districts, Marshall Direct offers direct admission to Marshall University – with no application, fees, or cost to students.

Through this program, eligible high school seniors can secure a spot at Marshall by simply opting in, making the transition to college smoother, more affordable, and more accessible than ever.

Students who meet the criteria below will automatically receive a direct admission offer to Marshall University in the fall of their senior year – no application or test scores required.

As President Brad D. Smith shared during the program’s Kanawha launch:

“Marshall Direct ensures that students across the state have direct access to opportunity – right here in West Virginia.”
