[Service Outage]: Internet Service Provider (ISP) Backbone Maintenance

ISSUE:  Marshall Information Technology will be working with our Internet and Internet2 provider on 18-March-2025 to upgrade our backbone connection.
​Tuesday​ 18-March Schedule:
  1. 4:00 am – Migrate all Internet/Internet2 services to a single router in Drinko Library.  < 1-minute Internet2 outage.
  2. 6:00 pm – Migrate all internet/internet2 services to the secondary router in Prichard Hall < 1-minute Internet/Internet2 outage.
  3. 6:30 pm – Migrate services back to a load balanced high availability status. < 1-minute Internet outage.​
During these brief periods, Internet/Internet2 Microsoft will appear as “slow”
What to expect the following day.
All services will return to normal.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:  We appreciate your patience and understanding!  If you experience any issue after 7:00 pm on 18-March, please report them to the IT Service Desk as soon as possible.
