Biography

Amy Kennedy-Rickman, MA, LPC, LPCC, ALPS is the Director of the Counseling Center. Amy is a daughter of Marshall, graduating from the Mental Health Counseling program in 2008 and has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She is also the Executive Director of the West Virginia Counseling Association as well as serving on the ALPS Oversight Committee for the clinical supervision of provisionally licensed counselors in WV. Amy is excited to be back at Marshall helping reduce stigma of mental health treatment and supporting students achieve their goal of graduating. Amy uses a person-centered eclectic supervision and therapy model to best meet the needs of the individual.

Amy has been married for over 20 years to her husband and has 2 dogs. She enjoys attending Marshall events, the outdoors, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
