Marching Thunder

The Marshall University Marching Thunder is the largest and most visible student organization on campus. The Marching Thunder provides entertainment and school spirit at football games, basketball games, and other community functions. It’s open to ALL Marshall University students – Get involved! Wind Symphony

The Wind Symphony is Marshall University’s premier concert ensemble for wind and percussion students. Under the direction of Dr. Phil Vallejo, this select ensemble is open to students from throughout the university by audition and provides the opportunity to perform literature from the traditional and contemporary repertory.

Symphonic Band

The Marshall University Symphonic Band is one of our fine ensembles that performs music recognized as core wind band repertoire, as well as some new wind band works by new and upcoming composers of today. Under the direction of Dr. Christopher Schletter, membership in the Symphonic Band is open to all Marshall University students, both music majors and non-majors.
